Adoro questa montagna! L'atmosfera è sempre fantastica, la gente è amichevole e non sembra mai troppo affollata. Le feste in terrazza in primavera sono sempre un piacere. Adoro sciare tra gli alberi e la preparazione non delude mai.

Era la mia prima volta a 49 anni, dopo aver vissuto fuori zona per qualche anno. I miglioramenti apportati a questo posto sono a dir poco sorprendenti. Il quad ci ha portato in cima in quello che mi è sembrato 5 minuti. La preparazione era perfetta e c'erano ancora enormi quantità di neve fresca tra gli alberi, quindi tutti nel mio gruppo erano felici. Questo posto è così grande che non credo di aver sciato due volte sulla stessa pista. C'erano un sacco di macchine nel parcheggio, ma la montagna non sembrava affatto affollata. C'era persino musica dal vivo al bar! E una fantastica sorpresa: pizza da asporto e da cuocere. Dopo una giornata di sci intenso (nessun riposo con la seggiovia così veloce) non volevo dover preparare la cena, e non ne ho avuto bisogno. Ho letteralmente preso una pizza da asporto e da cuocere mentre tornavo alla macchina! Una giornata perfetta!

Adoro sciare a 49 anni. Ho trascorso qui un paio di dozzine di giorni negli ultimi anni e mi sono divertito tutti. I recenti investimenti nell'innevamento artificiale e nella pista ad alta velocità che collega la base alla cima hanno reso questo posto una destinazione sciistica davvero valida. Il personale è cordiale, il cibo è buono e l'atmosfera è rilassata. Ho dei bambini piccoli e si divertono molto. L'attrezzatura per principianti, per sciatori e snowboarder alle prime armi, è davvero ottima. La seggiovia Payday serve diverse piste verdi che si incanalano tutte verso la seggiovia. Il terreno intermedio e avanzato è dove questa montagna brilla davvero. Le piste blu e nere che scendono dalle creste sono fantastiche da sciare, e diverse sezioni alberate sono state ripulite e offrono prestazioni sciistiche incredibili. Questa è la mia zona preferita per sciare nell'entroterra nord-occidentale.

Ho sciato su questa montagna a intermittenza dalla fine degli anni '90. È diventata la mia "montagna di casa" circa dieci anni fa perché è facilmente raggiungibile in auto da Spokane, le persone che lavorano e si divertono qui sono fantastiche e non è mai affollata, nemmeno quando è affollata. E il pass combinato Silver/49 è un'offerta fantastica!! L'innevamento artificiale fa un'enorme differenza durante le stagioni calde e con scarse nevicate. Sono davvero entusiasta.

Questo posto offre un terreno fantastico per tutti. Il miglior sci tra gli alberi che abbia mai provato. L'innevamento artificiale ha cambiato le carte in tavola e sembra che ci siano ancora molte novità. Quest'anno è stato un anno magro per la neve nel nord-ovest e non si sarebbe potuto dire guardando la base. Le squadre hanno fatto un ottimo lavoro nel gestire un anno con poca neve. Non vedo l'ora di vedere le attività in continua espansione in futuro.

The high speed chair is a game changer and a quick pace to the top. I have never thought that it was ever too crowded. The food is phenomenal (new food and beverage manager is killing it) and people are really helpful and kind. The prices are great as well! There will be a new lodge coming and is sorely needed to expand and update the departments.
Tons of classes, you can't get bored. There is day care, lessons, a Nordic center, a (less used) alternative lift/parking spots on the Cy's side, awesome retail (which has an awesome variety of waterproof items) which I think you get what you pay for -they have mid range and up -so NO crappy/useless stuff in there, rental equipment is brand new!
If you want a simply good time this is your place, it really is a hidden gem (almost like that favorite fishing spot you hesitate to tell others about)

Under its former long time owner 49 Degrees North took pride in being a “Family Friendly” ski area.
Not only were the ticket prices among the most affordable the day lodge offered an area were families could feed their kids in a “brown bag” area with food and drink from home...that their kids would eat!
Other skiers who didn’t like walking in ski boots in the slippery parking lot brought their boots up to the lodge and left their “street shoes” in a bag tucked under a table or in a corner. These are friendly courtesies no longer available under the new owners (who also own Silver Mountain). Now in the day lodged there are signs everywhere stating that No Outside Food or Beverages are allowed. This results in a day of skiing becoming even more expensive to the family bringing kids. Additional signs inform that if you leave that sports bag with your extra gear it will be removed to the Lost and Found area. Not so friendly. At the end of the day I spoke to some Mountain Hosts who volunteer to guide skier unfamiliar with the area. The new ownership has taken away their storage area where they could store skies etc. so they didn’t have to drag them up every duty day. A large number of these hosts are beyond retirement age! On a positive note, the new owners have made improvements to the ski terrain so 49 remains a good place to ski….sadly, just not so friendly.
