Inoltre, nel caso delle recensioni degli utenti, quelle più recenti hanno un peso maggiore rispetto alle quelle più datate.
Stevens si è quasi completamente ripresa da quando Vail ha preso il controllo. Sono andato a Stevens circa 20 volte la scorsa stagione, il che è poco per me visto che sono stato fuori per un infortunio dal 2 febbraio all'inizio di aprile (ho solo circa 30 giorni di tempo in questa stagione nei resort). In realtà è davvero bello ora poter acquistare un pass Epic e poter sciare in tutti gli altri resort di Vail insieme a Stevens. Rispetto a Baker (l'ultimo resort sciistico di proprietà individuale nello stato di Washington), Stevens è molto più conveniente, il che dimostra che l'acquisizione da parte di Vail ha avuto un impatto positivo sull'accessibilità economica. I prezzi giornalieri sono bassi rispetto alla maggior parte dei resort, tuttavia ciò significa comunque oltre 100 dollari. Stevens ha un sacco di terreno intermedio, insieme a un park di dimensioni discrete (che ho visitato solo circa 3 volte). Gli impianti migliori a Stevens per i rider esperti sono Double D, SC (Southern Cross) e 7th. Questi impianti vengono spesso chiusi, soprattutto il 7th. Questi impianti sono chiusi anche durante le operazioni notturne. Sconsiglierei di andarci se tutti questi impianti sono chiusi. Tuttavia, se non siete sciatori esperti, questi impianti non vi interesseranno. La maggior parte del terreno per esperti di Steven's è raggiungibile solo a piedi, soprattutto le piste più ripide. La salita per la maggior parte di esse non è molto lunga. Non ho problemi a salire a piedi fino alle piste (dato che di solito devo camminare per tutta la salita), ma capisco perché alcuni lo considerino uno svantaggio. Quando i tre impianti per esperti sono chiusi, non c'è terreno accessibile per esperti senza uscire di molto dai limiti del comprensorio sciistico (che non può essere considerato parte del resort). La zona migliore quando i tre impianti sono chiusi (principalmente durante le operazioni notturne) è [REDATTO]. Non dico dove, ma se cercate nei dintorni di Skyline troverete il terreno ripido. Se vivete più o meno altrettanto vicini a Steven's quanto ad Alpental, Stevens è senza dubbio la scelta migliore per acquistare uno skipass (se non avete intenzione di andare a Crystal).
Un'altra cosa da tenere a mente: non andate mai a Stevens nel fine settimana (questo dovrebbe essere scontato per tutte le località sciistiche). Molte recensioni qui lamentano la folla, il parcheggio difficoltoso e le lunghe code. Io non ho mai avuto problemi di questo tipo perché sono sano di mente e vado solo nei giorni feriali. Se proprio dovete andarci, andate sempre a sciare fuoripista nel fine settimana.

Scia qui per voi da anni. Prima dell'acquisizione da parte di Vail, era un posto fantastico per sciare. Da allora, l'attenzione si è concentrata più sui soldi che sulle persone, sia sciatori che personale. Se avessi un altro posto dove sciare, lo farei.

Se tieni al tuo tempo e al tuo denaro, non sciare qui! Vendono biglietti a un prezzo così alto che non hanno abbastanza parcheggio nemmeno per metà degli sciatori! Non siamo nemmeno riusciti a sciare, e abbiamo guidato per ore per arrivarci! Non solo non c'è praticamente parcheggio, ma i biglietti sono anche troppo cari! Potresti mangiare per una settimana; o andare a Stevens per qualche ora. A quanto dicono i dipendenti, questa vendita eccessiva accade abbastanza spesso, e non ti dicono nulla al riguardo. Se vuoi andare a sciare, vai a Snoqualmie. Nel complesso, molto deludente :(

The mountian has some fun advance and expert terrain. Generally there is great snow here. The best this mountain has to offer is the steep tree lined chutes off the top of Cowboy and Big Chief Mountains. Intermediate terrain is limited and grooming is very limited. Weekends are crazy busy and there is more skier demand on weekends than the infastructure and lift capacity can handle. Mid week it can be awsome especially if there is new snow.

So this was our first time here so it might not be a completely fair review, but I had a lot higher expectations than what was given. Arrived at 9:20 and was sent to a lot 5 miles down the road with practically NO SHUTTLES. one comes every 15-25 min and is TINY if you’re in the last lot. After about 1.5 hours FINALLY made it to the lodge and was greeted with 12$ pizza SLICES and crowds.
Did a couple laps of the backside which had great terrain, but then leavinf the mountain had to wait another 30 minutes just to catch a bus back to the Nordic center. Just overall didn’t feel worth my day considering the majority was spent driving up and waiting. 0 stars for how vail has ruined this resort. Just sad

Love stevens, grew up learning there. Great mountain for all levels and you can always find something enjoyable for you ski level. Less snow than Crystal but way cheaper as well.

Been a pass holder throughout covid. I’ve seen the good and the bad. The resort has improved. Lines move better, staffing is present and more attentive, additional seating in place. But there are still downsides. Occasional lift stopping, long lines. Early closure of the backside, still in need of more seating, parking is horrendous, bathrooms can be messy/flooding, and more entertaining apres options. Make it inside and outside options with warmth. Otherwise it’s too crowded. Better than last year but still can be improved.

Some of the amenities like the ski corral are no longer open. At one time the corral was available to season pass holders at no additional cost but because of staffing and other reasons it’s no longer available. The corral is something that should be available. Also the services staff seems inexperienced and couldn’t answer questions about locker options and rentals.

Just needed to give a shout-out to the ski patrol guy they call Rib. I fell into some sketchy terrain and but luckily was able to climb out. Rib helped me down the mountain and was the coolest dude. And tell the guy running Jupiter's lift yesterday (4/10) that he beat me, I only broke one rib!

Until Vail sells this resort to a company that cares for its employees and pays decent wages dont even think about skiing at this mountain. Unless of course you want to spend hours in line to get on one of the few lifts that are open.
