Beaver Mountain presenta molti problemi che la rendono un posto frustrante per sciare. Ho cercato di ignorarli, dato che ci ho sciato di tanto in tanto nel corso degli anni, ma a fine dicembre 2024 sono stato molestato da un controllore in quella che si è rivelata un'esperienza umiliante. Questa esperienza mi ha spinto a scrivere questa recensione. Per cominciare, gli impianti di risalita sono tutti vecchi e molto lenti. Con soli 500 metri di dislivello sulla pista più lunga e pochissimo, se non nessuno, terreno che sia effettivamente di livello intermedio, un buon sciatore intermedio può scendere dalla cima alla base in circa cinque minuti. La salita in seggiovia dura poco più di 10 minuti. Quindi, tre ore di "sci" sono in realtà due ore in seggiovia e un'ora di sci, se non si deve fare la fila. Ma se le code per gli impianti sono lunghe, come sempre nei fine settimana, il tempo trascorso sugli sci rispetto a quello trascorso in piedi è ancora inferiore, a volte molto inferiore. Gli impianti di risalita sono pericolosi, soprattutto quello di Beaver Face. Non ci sono barre di sicurezza sul lifting o sull'Harry's Dream, e le barre di sicurezza sull'impianto Marge's Triple non sono funzionanti. Solo l'impianto Little Beaver ha una barra di sicurezza utilizzabile. Gli impianti vengono ancora caricati manualmente, spesso con operatori distratti o aggressivi. I biglietti vengono scansionati manualmente e le code sono disorganizzate. I controllori e gli operatori degli impianti sono spesso maleducati con gli sciatori e mostrano fastidio nel dover avere a che fare con loro. Le code per biglietti e noleggio sono lunghe. I biglietti vengono obliterati manualmente e viene applicato un supplemento per l'acquisto online, ma è comunque necessario fare la fila per ritirarli. Il parcheggio è inadeguato, soprattutto nei fine settimana. Si pubblicizzano come strutture adatte alle famiglie, ma l'atmosfera che percepisco non è affatto familiare. L'atteggiamento tra i dipendenti mi ha colpito come di un moderato fastidio nel dover trattare con i clienti. Gli unici aspetti positivi di Beaver Mountain sono la pattuglia di sci composta interamente da volontari e la scuola di sci, sebbene quest'ultima sia più adatta a sciatori principianti e di livello intermedio. Se desiderate una buona esperienza sciistica vicino a Cache Valley, provate Snowbasin. Snowbasin, una località di gran lunga superiore, dista solo 30-45 minuti in più da Logan. Snowbasin è più costosa di Beaver, ma se il vostro obiettivo è spendere meno per poter fare la fila e sopportare il fastidio del posto, allora Beaver Mountain è il posto che fa per voi.

Basically a smaller powder mountain! Very good price for how big the mountain is! Snow is very good and powdery. They have an entire lift for beginners that also has 2 runs for more advanced skiers (good for families that want to stay close) has tons of black runs and blue runs that you can cross onto making every time feel new! Trails have enough space you don't feel crowded when in a group (and you can go through the trees for an extra challenge). I've also snowboarded here and its just as fun. Only downside i can say is, its out of the way so restaurants aren't close and the options on the mountain are good but the best.

Beaver Mountain is an awesome family-run ski resort in northern Utah. The ski resort is on a northern aspect, which means that the snow stays pristine until the temperatures warm up in spring. Saturday is the only day you really have to watch out for others, and if you come midweek you will almost feel like you have the entire mountain to yourself. There are plenty of options for different skill levels and the trails are well-networked. The biggest downside for me is that the mountain is normally only open 9-4. They do offer night skiing for an additional cost on some nights. But overall, amazing snow, great place, and also super cheap.

I have been skiing the "Beav" for 30+ years and prefer it to other resorts. The lifties are great, is a friendly mountain, usually good snow, no lift lines to speak of, great bang for your buck especially if you get your season pass in the spring. Some complain that the lifts are slow and are not detachable quads. I am glad because on a good powder day like yesterday the area would be skied out in no time. It has good backside skiing if you know the area. I hope others give the "Beav" poor reviews because I want to keep it for my own selfish self. Last year I skied 65 days at the Beav!!!

I grew up skiing Beaver Mountain, still one of my most favorite places to ski. It just feels like home, family friendly. Runs are a little limited due to the size of the mountain, but it is a lot of fun to take the family.
Lodge is always busy and full of people, it really needs to be expanded.
Value is great, if you are skiing the family, look into the season passes for locals, a great value.
Not a lot of steep and deep, but as I get older I get the less of that I ski.
All the snow is from the sky, so on low snow years watch for rocks, best skiing is when they have between 80-100 inches. At about 48 inches, all the rocks are pretty much covered.

The Beav is the hidden jewel of Utah skiing, please drive to the other resorts, we'll be skiing the beav!

This is the best family resort that I've found, and the is right in line for the family too.
