Ampia scelta di montagne da sciare ogni giorno in autobus (Bad Gastein e Bad Hofgastein sono collegate e gli autobus regolari per Dorfgastein e Sportgastein lungo la valle). Un mix di piste alberate e oltre il limite della vegetazione a Sportgastein. Un après-ski entusiasmante al Silver Bullet e all'Haeggbloms in città, più tranquillo sulle piste. Sconsigliato ai principianti o a chi è alle prime armi, poiché le piste sono dominate dalle rosse. Sconsigliato ai non sciatori, la città è piuttosto deserta. Ottime piste lunghe e un moderno impianto di risalita. Lo skipass non è economico, a causa degli investimenti negli impianti di risalita. Molto popolare tra la popolazione scandinava, il che significa che è difficile trovare birra economica.

Ho vissuto a Hofgastein per quattro anni e conosco ogni dettaglio del comprensorio sciistico, cosa che consiglio vivamente. Nonostante l'elevato afflusso turistico, Gastein è sempre innevata, le piste sono molto ben preparate, ma non economiche.

• Piste ben tenute, rifugi rustici, locanda del villaggio e Grossarl sono un'aggiunta molto piacevole; le terme e la discesa dell'Hohe Scharte sono un'esperienza indimenticabile.
• costoso, il pagamento in contanti è solitamente possibile solo nelle baite, Schlossalm sovraffollata dalle 10 alle 11 del mattino

The valley run back to Schlossalm is a tough run especially at the end of the day. Good amount of reds and testy blues but not much for low intermediates. Black B20 was easier than Red B18. The adjoining blue was a flat road and more of a French style green run.

A mid-December trip meant that only a few runs were open initially. Others opened later, but the weather was not favourable those days. Great infrastructure and efficient service. The ski bus to Dorfgastein was worth the trip.

Ich fahre schon seit Jahren immer wieder in das Gebiet und bin nach wie vor überzeugt von dem Gebiet.

Ich bin hauptsächlich auf der Seite vom Stubnerkogel gefahren, dort waren viel zu viele Anfänger unterwegs, welche sich noch dazu gefürchtet haben. Die vielen Schiwege, die dann die Piste kreuzen sind ein Schmarrn. Was mir auch unangenehm aufgefallen ist, ist dass einige Pisten hängen :-(

alles in allem gut.lohnt sich

• gute Verbindungen überall im Gebiet, lifte nicht alle auf dem neusten Stand. ist noch gut Ausbaufähig.
• in kaum einer hütte kann man mit karte zahlen oder erst ab 20 euro! Sehr schlecht präparierte Pisten! Die pisten ansieht sind traumhaft schön, aber ab 10 uhr komplett zerfahren.

Tolles, großes Skigebiet im Gasteinertal. Bad Hofgastein bietet wirklich für jeden etwas. Ich nehme im Skiurlaub zumeist den Einstieg über den Stubnerkogel und fahre dann das Skigebiet ab. Super natürlich auch der Snowpark Gastein. Aber das ist nur für Experten!

Karnety bardzo drogie w stosunku do tego co oferują dla narciarzy i w porównaniu do innych ośrodków (stoki kiepsko przygotowane, mało atrakcyjne trasy, sieć restauracji słabo rozwinięta, mimo pełnego sezonu, ładnej pogody na stokach smutno (żadnej muzyki, żadnych atrakcji, pozamykane snowparki).
