Per me niente!

If you're looking for some expert terrain or an experience, look elsewhere. This is an old school resort with old school charm. It's tiny but it's perfect for learning or relaxing. No need to worry about endless lines. Here's somewhere to learn something new. I'm back on the board after a 10 year hiatus. I came here a few times to relearn switch, carving, buttering and simply enjoying the mountain. The grouse house is my vibe, so a meal here once a week is a treat. Season pass was purchased because of this. With all the corp mountains around, it's nice to see something from the past still around.
Affordable. Low Traffic. Old School. Charm.
Terrain park. Size. Accommodations.

A great, mild day. I am an expert skier and spend most of my time out West in the bumps and double blacks. Otis is the kind of skiing I grew up with in the Northeast. You can have a great, casual day at a low price. And the burgers are fresh not frozen.
Nice variety, cheap, family friendly
Non if you know what "old school" means

I grew up skiing here and for less than the cost of a nice ski jacket you can get a season pass and ski both night and day all season. There isn't a terrain park and you'll get bored within an hour... but this is home. If there's a decent snowfall this place is loads of fun for running trees and going off trail.
family friendly, affordable, great ski school/camp
A bit run down, small, needs better daily maintenance

Disclaimer: I am a beginner; I have gone skiing to two resorts. Gunstock in NH which is amazing, and Otis Ridge. It was at Otis where I learned to ski. The resort itself is very small and lacks variety; however it serves its purpose as a family mountain. The staff are very friendly and the instructors are amazing. If you want to take the kids to learn how to ski/board or just want to go for an hour or two, then visit Otis. The trails themselves are well balanced despite their numbers. For the speed demons in all of us try the big hill in the middle, Slalom ( I personally hit 50 mph, myself ). For the winding twists and turns try Ridge Run/John's Cliff or Dutchman. If you want to go with the kids, take them down Acorn or Robber Oak. Give this mountain a try. After going here twice, I loved it so much that I got season passes for my family. Its a great mountain and its worth the drive!!!!
Great beginner terrain, atmosphere, instruction
Lack of Vertical, Variety of Trails

Otis Ridge is not a good place to ski. The lifts are old and have holes in them. I think that this is a safety hazard, because a small child culd fall through. On the positive side the lift tickets are pretty cheap. I would not reccomend coming here.
Cheap
Bad night ski, bad lifts, old and worn out
Disclosure: I'm only a beginner. We went one sunday afternoon and it was great. I've only been skiing the greens so I can't comment about the tougher trails, however the layout is very beginner friendly and by the end of our 4 hour ticket I was able to ski down my first blue trail. Its a plus that it is a small area and makes for a great beginners mountain. If you hate long lift lines, crazy kids everywhere I highly recomend this mountain. The top of mountain is very easy to traverse to the beginners trail. The food is very reasonably priced which is nice when you just want a quick drink in between runs. Like I said above try it, you just might like it.
Perfect for beginners and those lazy day runs.
Only a few trails.

This is one of the ones I had always driven past. I'm glad I stopped here one night and paid the usual asking price of $12.00 for a night ticket. This was mid-January and, not too long after the hill took a real beating from an ice storm. I skied in the dark and had a great time doing it. Every time I saw a coil of wire nailed to a tree, I reminded myself that this is not a deep pocketed resort, they were doing what they could to put the place back together and, that someday, that coil of wire would run a string of lights again. With one double chair, a couple surface lifts and, 300 vertical feet, Otis Ridge is not for those with short attention spans. Although, for its size, it skis pretty well. What they do have is the easy access, affordability, and community feel that got us all into skiing at our own home hills in the first place. Its isn't glitzy and, for what it is, it shouldn't be. If you don't mind sitting under a couple slightly brownish tiles in the drop ceiling at The Grouse House, you too might be able to chat with the groomer about his grouchy old Piston Bulley while eating stuffed clams from the toaster oven. If that's a bit too humble for you please pack the brats and the blonde in the Bogner in your BMW and go to Windham. Otherwise, you and your family should have a great time. You'll have the lowest stress ski day ever here and sometimes, that's just plain good for the soul.
A Great Learning Hill, Very Inexpensive
Lack of Vertical
