Ranked by some as one of North America's top ten expert ski resorts and an award winner for Best Steeps, Best Trees and Best Powder, Red Mountain Resort is the hidden jewel of BC's Kootenay Rockies region. Red offers incredible terrain with a 2,919 foot vertical drop (884 meters) featuring over 300 inches (750cm) of annual snowfall, champagne powder, world renowned tree skiing and wide-open groomed runs.
Terrain
Red boasts a terrain park, easy-to-access backcountry, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, luxury slope-side lodging, fine dining and friendly locals, all located within the historic gold mining city of Rossland. At Red there is something for everyone. Red caters not only to families but skiers and snowboarders of all ages and ability levels.
Red is located in the western Kootenays in southern BC, 2.5 hours drive north of Spokane International Airport, 3.5 hours drive from Kelowna, BC Airport, 30 minutes drive from Castlegar and 20 minutes from Trail regional airports.
